posting some pictures of kauai bonyu kai's spring exhibit-part of the larger and well attended Garden Fair. while the weather was picture perfect, our 20 X 30 tent , one of several in a row, did not allow for the best light to penetrate to parts of the interior. bear with the dark pictures. on behalf of kauai bonyu kai, please enjoy our trees

thanks all: t'was as labor of love for our small workshop group. 2 members supplied 10 trees each. a third supplied 4. six of us set the display up friday and saturday , gave narrated tours during and took the show down saturday afternoon. tiring but satisfying to have so many guests coming to enjoy our trees.

robert, when you come to kauai. you have a place to stay. I would love the opportunity to reciprocate for the many kindnesses you showed sheila and I in Bali and Jakarta.

jun. sorry about the pictures. due to the poor light and the crowding in the aisles, I was unable to get individual closeups. by the time our small crew finished the setup, people were streaming into the tent. at the end of the day, we were too bushed.

by sunday morning all of us were experiencing SBS (sore back syndrome). would we do it again? in a heartbeat !! in fact, we're already planning our indoor summer show.

russell: the tree you are wondering about is a natal plum I found neglected and weed choked in a rusted gallon can. the nursery manager gave
me the tree about 5 years back.
