Mykorrhiza info
I would like ask if anybody has good experience with Mykorrhiza for pines.. I use akadama and kiryu mix and I would like add Mykorrhiza powder to the mixture. Anybody can help me or suggest something?

I've never bothered. If the potting mix is well drained and fertilising is organic, it will develop myccorhiza on its own. You can hasten the process by adding a pinch of myc from another pines roots.

Hi Tom,
Welcome to the Forum, I have used 'Purchased' MYC in the past because i was not confident that the MYC from existing pines, or pine needle litter would not carry nasty pathogens... having said that over the years I now visit a Friend (Terry Foster) who runs a 'pine hospital' That I take my trees to for sunshine and TLC and nick some MYC from his pots
