shohin stand

Very nice, but I like the vertical support on stands like this to have some 3D depth so they look a tree trunk. They don't need to be round, but some thickness and taper from the front center to the edges gives the illusion of a trunk rather than its silhouette.

I think it is very nice and well made. I am however; growing away from the standard Japanese-ish formal type stands. I am going to be making stands for my trees starting with trees for this summer's show. I have these ideas in my mind but I don't quite see them clearly, I feel them more than see them.
