Tell me about it Jim! Isn't it exciting! Buds bursting on my privets makes me excited about the departure of the wet and dark winter. I just hope we get a good summer unlike last year's wet one.

Cheers and here's to a happy and warm summer Jim,

The past few days have been mild, with buds opening. Now there is snow in the forecast today; typical Virginia weather. Overnight temps this week are forecast in the mid 20's; too cold to start repotting. Next week perhaps...

I started repotting yesterday! It felt really good to get out there and get dirt under my fingernails.

I think you can get a cream for that, Adam. Very Happy

Things starting to move here now but only very slowly. We've had a fair bit of sunshine but it is still cold.

Everything here in middle Georgia is turning yellow from the pollen. It happened almost overnight. Yuck!

Fiona,

It's a thick trunked privet and so full of buds bursting due to its vigour, I'd need an ocean of cream Fiona Smile All I visualize is how bushy and lush it'd be by the summer. I am so proud of it now. I've also noticed how sensitive the top is to a cold wind with buds turning a maroon red. I think they should change the common name of the Privet. Here it is anyway if you fancy a look Smile

Oh and I wrap it nice and warm in it's own fleece Laughing Must start thinking of sticking it somewhere nice. In a nice pot I mean.

Cheers,
Adam

Sorry Jim,

we are in reverse, everything is brown and going browner - chuckle
Bright side, heavy blooms coming up soon, poui - cad. yellow flowers, petrea - purple flowers - immortelles just finishing salmon and vermilion flowers, tamarinds with yellow or red orchid type flowers.

Looks like winter in some areas.
Best.
