learning opportunity with Sean Smith

David De Groot, curator for the Weyerhauser, Pacific Rim Bonsai Display treated his volunteers yesterday to a session with Hand Carved daiza maker and display expert, Sean Smith from Marysville, Pennsylvannia. His bonsai demonstration was open to the public as part of a city wide promotion entitled buds and blooms. Tuesday the suiseki club makes a journey to a northern river to do some collecting with Sean.

I took a daiza making workshop and a tool workshop with Sean at a BSF convention, two of the best workshops for the money I have ever done.
