Help Needed (NOOBIE) lol

Ok....I've got my self a 2year old hawthorn as a starter tree whilst I wait for my seeds to grow.It looks verry nice but then agin I do not know what qualities im so spose to look for.I just basicly need to some help knowong what to do with it now

Plant it in the garden and let it grow for a few years, cutting back all longer growths to just a couple of leaves at the end of summer. This will thicken the trunk and give you a nice tight twiggy mass of growth that you can select from when it is time to style it.

Alternatively, if you want a tiny tree, just keep it in this pot until next spring. Cut back all growth to a couple of leaves as they extend.

Learn to keep it alive and read all you can. The fast track to learning bonsai is by joining a club, so that you can take your tree along and discuss where to go with it, face to face. It's quite difficult to give any more advice based on a couple of photo's.

no i didnt go unfortunatley i coudnt get there this came from ebay lol.

Is that dirt it's potted in? Doesn't look like a very loose, inorganic soil to me.

The soil apears to be preety losse it isnt just compost i'm just a begginer though so im not to sure whats what lol

went to the place in Lutterworth. Small but very nice. lots of mature trees and lots of raw material. the chap running it was exceptionally pleasant, friendly and helpful. very good prices too. recommended.
