Specimen Jade
Hello all,
I have recently been offered to purchase a Large Jade Specimen Bonsai by an older member of our bonsai club who can no longer care for it properly. I will take a picture and post in a few days. My question is I have been unable to fined any Jade pictures or price information comparable to this paticular Jade (age, size, etc.). It has about a 5" trunk ,about 15" tall and in the formal upright position, with very dense and compact leaves. I would love to see pictures of any members Jade Bonsai for scale.
Thanks,
Abe

Re: Specimen Jade
Are you looking for information on comparable material in order to gauge a proper price for the tree?
I've seen untrained material that size for $350 at a specialty local nursery, but as I say thats just raw stock.

Jay,
Thanks for the reply. Yes, I was looking for a price range and pictures of Jades comparative to the size. Overall it is a very nice tree.

I'm sure if you put a picture or two up here for all of us to see you'll have no lack of responses as to what we all might offer for the tree. Keep in mind "value" when denominated in dollars can ultimately be defined as simply 'what someone else is willing to pay.'
number of years in training would help with the assessment.
