Stone on stone

Hello,
Jan 10e Dick Benbow opend a thread with the question: Can a stone be displayed on another?
Well i tried a few things but did not succeed,what do you think?
First a flat stone (plateau or water pool stone)

Here with an animal stone.

Other placement with same stone
Same stone.

Same stone.

Here the snuff bottle stone i posted earlier on a another stone,
but the placement is to much only flattering the transparent stone i feel.

This is easier with a piece of glass sanded by the beach waves, nice but?

Did you experimented?

I think with the first series of rocks, the display might look better with a verticle rock on top of a horizontal
one, instead of two horizontal which to me clashes and confuses the line of display. (they both compete)

I like the last two pics as the base stone is so dark and the displayed stone is so light that the contrast works better for me.

Here the same small stone as a figure stone.
Different appearance is it?
The sanded glass piece on the black stone gets easy a decorative element,
but it has in its simplicity an evoking power i feel,
but still i would like to have in stead of glass a natural transparent stone.
