I think it is a general classification for stones with good color.
The Japanese classification is more precise, they have a for example a classification by color,
Aka Ishi for red stone
Kinko Ishi for Yellow-red stone.
Or where a certain color can be found,
Sado akadama ishi for red stones.

I cant recognize the rock type from these photos.
Some of the stones have a weathering skin and make it difficult to be identified from their photos.
Sometimes are big photo of close-up local view can be helpful to the identification.
