Approach Grafts for Junipers
I know that approach grafts can be accomplished with some deciduous species without exposing the cambium layer of the whip as long as the whip is very young and its bark is very thin. But, can the same be done with evergreens especially junipers if, for example, the portion of the whip to be used is young and trying to expose its cambium would more than likely be detrimental to the whip? I guessing "no" since with evergreens the cambiums have to line up???
