Acer Trunk: should i cut?
Hello all!!
This Acer was bought last year in August (and i think it is above 5 years old). I show you some pictures:
August 2008
October 2008
November 2008
March 2009 (after pruning and repotting)
June 2009
I am letting it to grow freely for the next 2 or 3 years with just some wiring. However, the branch that i didn't cut is now very thick (a little more than the others 3 main branchs) and it is starting to carve itself against other next to him. What should i do (I want to save part of the branch)? Should i cut it now and use some wire to drive the branch in the correct direction or should i wait until the Autumn leaf-fall??
