From the NEW Stone Monkey Kiln
An thus the Electric Kiln of Antioch did reveal some hidden treasures and forsooth the non-believers did say that the kiln of electrickery may not be too bad at first glance of the wayward eye of the Stone Monkey. In bloody fact the unglazed ones look better
A few for your comments and critiques
Unglazed krack pot semi cascade
Tea bowl esque pot
Crocodile Skin like Glaze, could not do this with gas....
Krack pot drum stylee
Thanks for all your support whilst I have had my hiatus with firing. I still wont be able to do BIGGIES until I have dusted the moths off my wallet and bought a kiln. For now and with a little help from my friends, hmm reminds me of a song, I can fire with some electrikery and I am pleased with the results. plus it gives me a chance to try out the glaze recipes I have amassed for oxidized firings
All the best and thanks for looking, all will be at the BTA event at Capel Manor this weekend, and a few more that I have not shown

Very nice transition from gas to electrickery Andy.
It would have been hard to tell the difference if you had not told us.
What cone are you firing now?
Regards,
Paul

Some lovely oily effects on the cracked pots Andy. Unless my eyes or the pooter are playing early morning tricks on me.

They look a bit "oliy" due to the oxides on the pots
