Angry stone
Realizing this image might disturb some I decided to post anyway....please excuse the "stand" - it is just there so I could stabilize the stone in order to photograph it....don't even know where to start regarding a proper display or whether I want to do so with this piece. Anyway I would like to solicit others thoughts. Thanks.

Re: Angry stone
Hi Tom,
I LOVE your head stone!!! It has such pathos and expression of agony. I have a "secret collection" of head stones and because they are not classified as suiseki have not been shown formally. Aren't you glad we can call them viewing stones? :0)
A "simple" daiza with maybe.. hands or rope around his neck ! I'll bet Yvonne could design something creative.
Thanks for showing, which reminds me to dig out my Halloween head. I think I photographed it once...will look through my files.

Re: Angry stone
Thanks so much, Norma...I was beginning to questions myself regarding posting of the image....but I really am soliciting ideas for a suitable daiza...hopefully Yvonne will chime in :-)
I agree regarding the imagery the stone evokes....Hope you find your Halloween heads....how about showing some of your head stones?
Best regards,
Tom

Great, Norma...thanks for sharing....to me it is reminiscent of a Triceratops (sp?)...the dinosaur with a unique jaw.

I especially like scary faces,
this was in a reject pile,
passed over by many,
it screamed at me...

Not an Angry Face
Hi Tom,
I thought I’d add to the collection of faces, this guys not angry but he does have a head of snow - like many of us baby boomers .
Norma, I really like your new avatar, it inspires a special feeling.
Cheers Graham

excellent ware, smooth as skin! but with wrinkles.
excellent shape, pointy hood, eyes, nose and mouth showing tongue.

Re: Angry stone
I was by the beach yesterday, to look for more interesting orange flint.....There was still many, but no of my interest, so they will stay on the beach .
But I found this little nice mountain at the same spot...this stone also had a fantastick patina like the flints.
I have only given it a little rubbing against my jeans.
Then I saw he was not pleased....
Now, what can I do
Kind regards Yvonne
