Happy and satisfied. Pinus Thumbergii

The Oyakata has given me to work one of those trees that remind me that I do here in Japan.

It is this Kuromatsu, Japanese Black Pine Pinus Thumbergii



As you can see it's not a small tree: Movement, bark and branches are great.

The work was clean and wiring.

Cleaning consists of removing old needles of the new.

When I finished Okayata has asked me to take it to Taisho-en´s Tokonoma, even he look for the Kusamono and placed the tables.

He told me to leave it there.

This is one of the prettiest black pines I have seen. I love the front branch which drops and folds; the feeling this emotes is very feminine; which is very unique for a black pine; very stark contrast between the shape and the bark. The tree reminds me of an aged geisha; she has endured much in her life and rests comfortably in her elegant lotus pot. Your thoughts?

About the same. But in Nagoya the have bigger bonsai, as in the exhibition it is for all sizes.

Half a year in Japan.

Today I am 6 months of stay here in Japan spread over the three times I've been.
Looking back in 2007 I didn´t belive that I could even go for one week.
My latest work, Pine pentaphylla I liked the first time I saw him, and there Oyakata fate and has left in my hands.
