Distraction
BeerCity Kevin...I would just stick to our Traditional USA, Japanese, Chinese Bonsai Pots, Trays...
The Art Trays of Atelier are, IMO, just too much of a Distraction for a Decent Bonsai Showing, keep it simple...

if i was a traditionalist, then i would tend to agree...
but that is not the case
(dont want to say much more to avoid another sucker-punch )

Still a Distraction...
Kevin I've seen a lot of your Bonsai Gardening work and consider it Wonderful, Exlemplary...
Those 3D, Abstract, Contorted, Trays will only draw ones Eye away from your showings....
No sucker punches just my opinions....

Your pots are inspiration. Thank you for showing us. When I have a tree worthy of one of your pots, I will contact you. I have a ponderosa pine that may benefit, but first I need to do a styling on it to get it closer to my image for it before having a pot made for it.
I love your work. Beautiful.

Re: my new work - atelier bonsai Element
Erik,
I'm interested in purchasing as well. I understand you use a non-toxic cement below the tree, but what about the surface stains you use. Are they toxic? And how well do the stains resist fading?
May I ask what the stains are made of? I'd like to know if they will last for a long time.
