Some, some time ago I was inspired by a pot of Jim Barrett. Really fantastic work.
I wanted to try that one day.
So .... and that was now...some days ago..... a few days time and I gave it a go!
A real challenge....
3 days of work and a good plannig was necessary !!!
It now is in the drying stage....I hope all goes well....
Kind regards
Klaudia

Hello Russel and all of you bonsaifriends
Thanks for asking Russel...very kind of you! .....
....and what a coincidence.....we have just finished the glazing, firing ...and photographing.
It has been a long time since we posted our last pots.
There was so much work in our house and garden but now it slows down a little bit.
So first of all I like to show you the finished "mesh-pot".....I'm so happy that all went perfect !!!!
The glaze performs fantastic with a superb flow at the edges.....I was so excited while the kiln fires .
Kind regards
Klaudia

Re: Some of my pots......
The pot turned out great.
Regarding the grid pattern, did you cut out each diamond or some other technique? The regularity is perfect.

Thanks for your nice comments!
@Rob
YES!!! Every diamond is cut out separately......very, very, very timeconsuming...
Luckily Martin made a special knife for me
A square tube to punch out the parts doesn't work as it "mooves" the clay to the sides deforming the grid.
But the biggest Problem is to keep all parts (8 sidepieces, bottom and feet) at the same
moisturelevel all the time !!!
Kind regards

My compliments Klaudia.
What a stunning pot! You have managed to capture all the great ambiance of Jim Barrett's original design.
Your attention to detail and the passion you have for ceramics is clearly evident in your work.
Thanks for taking the time to share.
Best wishes.

I wonder if it would be possible to make an extrusion die to accomplish this?

After thinking more about it, an extruder would be tough but perhaps a negative press mold might reproduce the grid. Just an idea.

Hello together
@Andy
Thanks a lot !!!! I hope you are fine with the kiln now
and that the clay "transforms" well under your hands !!!!
I also like to show a few more pots.
The first 2 have a new glaze.....not very impressing in the tests....BUT....with a little adjustment .....it turnt to GOLD
I'm very pleased especially with the second one !!!!
The last one is also puite new...surprises me when I opened the kiln.....this one will be difficult to reach the same result again....BUT...that's the salt in the soup...
Kind regards
Klaudia

Beautiful shapes and glazes!
I love the variety of your pieces. Each one is a great combination of form and style. You put rugged features with the warm rust colors and I enjoy the graceful greens on the round feminine shaped pot. IMHO, very effective indeed....
Always a pleasure seeing your pots!
