Re: Some of my pots......
Hello Lou
All pots are sprayglazed. Standart well known recipes with a few changes.
The first pot finishes with its thin glaze at the bottom and a manganese prespraying preparation.
The second one highly reacts with the amount of copper.... a fairly new glaze to me.
The third one shows a very nice reaction with the manganese in the dark clay. That pot really looks fantastic in reality.....and Martin has taken it straight away into his bonsaiboard
A few macros to show some more satisfying finishes.
Kind regards
Klaudia

Really, that is an impressive array of glaze effects. The first one in particular is quite unusual - at least to my experience - I like it.
(This is making me miss having studio time over the summer!)

Re: Some of my pots......
Hello together
Some, some time ago I was inspired by a pot of Jim Barrett. Really fantastic work.
I wanted to try that one day.
So .... and that was now...some days ago..... a few days time and I gave it a go!
A real challenge....
3 days of work and a good plannig was necessary !!!
It now is in the drying stage....I hope all goes well....
Kind regards
Klaudia

Very Nice!
Before I read the text of this post I looked at the picture and thought "That looks like Jims pot that beat me!"
I came in 2nd place to Jims first place in that 2001 National Bonsai Foundation's FIRST Bonsai Pot Competition , in the 'Contemporary' style. Good company to lose too!
I believe there were about 152 entries in that very first competition. 6 winners chosen, 3 'Traditional' and 3 'Contemporary'. Sara Rayner won first place in 'Traditional' catagory.
My 5-sided asymmetrical pot has become my trademark shape that I make several of each year.

WOW!!!!! You have the patience of a saint to do all those cut outs. I prey that the pot fires well and really look forward to seeing the pot glazed. I also hope when this pot sells that you get a good price
All the best

Klaudia, if you ever come across a copy of the "5th World Bonsai Convention, Washington D.C." book it is in there also.
