Juniperus sabina - yamadori 2008 - first styling

Hi all.

I want to introduce you to a tree Juniperus sabina. Yamadori colected was in 2008.I think from the beginning that the tree has great potential and many possibilities for the future. Now I just cleared the tree and visible veins Juniper. The tree is now in very good condition. But first styling will definitely until next year.

how did you clean up the bark so smoothly and clean?

To clean a soft brush (brass and steel). Knife. Finally, painted in mineral oil.

Hi Pavel, looking good... I guess when you style the tree it will be thinned out so much that at least 50% of the foliage will be removed.

Yes, you're right. Lots of branches will be gone. Is the tree a few very long and certainly inappropriate branches. You will be first removed. With that, of course, related to the increase in dead wood and other specifications of conductive veins. But first I have to decide what position you choose, and tree replanting.
Currently I am successfully doléčíl tree is in great shape. Roots were apparently attacked by real fungi. Although the tree has grown nicely, but are also plunged needles. Now everything is in order.

Today I transplanted the tree .I removed the roots of old, the original substrate.
Tree is in new pot and the new position.

lovely styling of a truely beautiful piece of material, what treasures you have to collect.

now you have it styled with the pot slanted on blocks the angle looks basically the same as the original material in the big pot though - did you change your mind after repotting and tilt the tree back to its original position ?
