British shohin association show 2009
This was another truly great weekend of small tree's in a great location,i cant imagine there have ever been many show's outside of Asia dedicated to shohin/chuhin.
I will only show a very limited number of pictures here because there will be a book released with all tree's in,pictured by Paul Goff.
Thanks must go to all the people who took the trouble to exhibit, and travel to see the show, but especially to the willowbog "regulars" for helping to get the show ready, and Marco for all the entertainment, but the biggest thanks must go to Jean and Peter Snart for once again letting us into there home
There will be a full set of results,a few more pics and details of how to join and get the book posted soon on willowbogs bsa website here:-willowbog

I totally agree Lee
The hospitality shown by them both was nothing short of outstanding.
The whole weekend was a real eye opener to a Shohin novice like myself with everybody being both open & helpful.
It was also great to put faces to names on the IBC, even if some were more scary than others
See you all next time

Mid life crisis or not? you decide!
I only wish i could share with you all the appearance of a certain forum member in a shocking green "mankini" after the last supper on sat night
efforts are being mad to host this one off on youtube,if you've never heard of a mankini google it,most probably the funniest thing i have seen in bonsai,

I wasn't gunna mention the "mankini" but now it's come to air how could I resist.
I've not laughed so much in ages and I understand from despatches our laughter was heard in the bunkhouse

A fantastic weekend with stunning world class trees and displays.
I second Lee in thanking Peter and Jean for a wonderful weekend and gracious hospitality and thank the Wirral Gang for such a good laugh

Normally it’s the ladies who spend hours discussing the finer points of shoes… there is something quite effeminate and disturbing about Burley Soucers debating another mans footwear. So… let’s see the Mankini that would merit discussion.
This Just in... the Mankini man has been found and he has a shoe fettish too!

That first twisty juniper is quite interesting, but that shari sure looks artificial. Needs more work before being shown again!

Nice legs on Ian, must be a hit at the fire station. Could use a bit more lime sulfur though.

[quote="Lee Kennedy"]There was also a extra face for breakfast on Sunday
Mmmmmmmmmmm, breakfast!!!!!!!!
Top way to start the day even if our little friend missed out. I can't beleive we were offered seconds!!!!
Tony
I hate to say it but I think I would rather have your shoes than Ian's mankini but only just
