Chip budding
Lately I have been looking into budding techniques and want to try a few. While I get the basic idea.. I am still not sure.. can you use any rootstock or must it be in the same family at least? I apologize if this is a very stupid question, please help me understand. There is a beautifulCercis Canadensis tree . I'd very much like to add one to my collection, they say rooting from cutting is very difficult, one has a better chance at chip budding.
