Redbud (Cercis Canadensis)

Redbud. Beautiful tree this. I drove past one a couple of days ago, at a small church near a small community. I took a couple of cuttings. They say this is futile as redbud wont root. Your thoughts/experience. I planted it any way, as best I know - dipped it in willow water, planted it - domed it, now I wait. I will give it 30 days and then lightly tug on it to see..
