Fraxinus anomala – “Single Leaf Ash”
I took a photo my my Single Leaf Ash tree. I hope you like, I have been working on it for years. I would highly recommend this species. The tree responds well to Bonsai techniques. Irish moss caused bark loss on the trunk near the soil. I like the bark the most it looks like a cork bark elm. You may find more information about this tree on my web site HERE.

Thanks for the compliment. I think you can order seeds for this species on EBay. I would try to grow one out as they do seem to grow pretty fast. On a side note, I have read that Single Leaf Ash trees in the wild have really great dead wood that would rival some of the really great Juniper trees. I have been researching where in Colo. to go looking for them. They only grow in a few areas of the State and its a big state to search for some. I must admit though I have never gone collecting.
