Welsh Larch 1 Progression
The following is the progression of a larch which was collected from South Wales. I acquired it shortly after the first picture and decided to use the top two branches, one to re-grow the top and the other to use as a drop branch. The second picture was a year later, the third picture was two years later. I let it grew to build up the vigor and ramification. This was when I repotted it into the drum pot. The fourth picture was another year on after thinning and work on the dead wood.
It is still work in progress with further refinement required over the coming years.

Well, cut my legs and call me shorty!
That looks nice after not very promissing material and it looks aged too. Dead part could be more visible to create visual tapering but i am sure it looks good in real. Very good progress, Mikey.

Good job Mike. The latest pictures fail to give a true feel for this fine tree. Thx for posting.
