Andre`s Formal Upright Juniperus Snowflake
Hallo Darlings
This weekend I decided to bondage the poor Formal Upright Juniperus, for the third time.
IT was a slow process over the last say 7 years and little by little I bend them down.
Saturday while bending the main bottom right branch, with Jesus in my heart and a song in my voice,..... in a question of milliseconds I held the branch in my hand...it was not attached to the tree anymore. I tried to put it back, like one does when these things happen, but of course it didnt want to stay there. I contmeplated getting the glue and grafting tape...but I new it was over.
Angel my parrot went snow white with shock.
I think I also weed a little in my pants.
Here is its story...
Two years ago....
Break.....
O *&%$£!!!
The back of the tree....feeling very incompetent.......
The front....
I now also added the Jin, which I need to work on more...must I take it down to the ground?
I think it needs more refining..... ?

Re: Andre`s Formal Upright Juniperus Snowflake
is there any way at all that you could blame angel ???
i mean, i sure she was kibbitzing in your ear the whole time...
"awk! bend it harder"
"awk-awk i told you not to bend it so hard -awk"
in all seriousness though, if i never saw the branch in the first place, i wouldnt think you needed one there anyways...

Kevin is right, the tree still looks pretty good. In a year you won't even remember that the branch was there. Love your helper Angel.
I like the interesting effect of the variegation, spots of creamy white, highlight the blue tinted zones of foliage. An interesting effect. If you could only get the pattern to look like snow or sunlight on the branches.
I like the progression. It is coming along.

Hi Andre
Maybe it was not so bad what happened to your tree...I think the tree is more ballanched as a tall slender tree, if you remove the lowest branch closest to you, with a small jin, and remove the two lowest branches in the other/right side to...then vire dawn the branch above, in this/right side too....maybe thin out a Little afterwards...dont do much to the shari, leave it as it is, or only cut only little, and not deep.
Kind regards Yvonne

Andre',
your tree [ looks fine, but ] is diffcult to see, any time left to image as a pot/tree far enough away to be seen as in the professional images. We seem to be looking down alot.
Thanks for sharing.

*Interesting Poseidon / Zeus look. [ should image in a tease.] No trident or thunderbolt?

Yes of course it is Angels fault...there was nobody else close by..... bleddy bird.
Thanks David Kevin and Leo....I feel slightly better, you guys rock.
Thank you Yvonne for your clever input. Yes, you are right it could be a very slender tall tree. I think I will probably follow your advice in the future.
So you say the two cut branches must be left as two jins?
Emmmmmm I think this tree is going to be a Phoenix...rising out of the ashes...... and the Parrot Angel, Im gonna turn him into a fruit eating bat.

I dont understand you first sentence... we seem to be looking down alot??. Do you mean I must take the photo lower down, but then you will look up in the tree, no? and into Zeus s Nostrils....that wont be a pretty sight!
Trident in for repairs.... nothing lasts these days..

HI Yvonne
All three, you mean even the top right one that you marked with a stripe? I dont think my heart will take it.
But in the end I always follow you guys advice, it just takes me a bit longer to decide.
But really all three? I think we need Angel for this....

Hi Andre
It is easy to say...cut off all 3 branches...but you have it in your hand, and have the 3 dimentions view of the tree...could be it is too much to take out all 3, just do what you think is right
Kind regards Yvonne
