Re: small trees in my garden
The small Ulmus parvifolia Nire has ben mine for some years now...I bought it on my first trip to Japan....in the same hours did planes crash into the two Towers in New York.
It was strange to sit in my hotel on the other side of the world.... had just spend a small fortune on my first good tree to work with in the future... and at the same time see on the television the world had stopped
The tree has ben restyled during the spring, and is now up and dancing again, standing 14.5 cm tall
Kind regards Yvonne

Yes
Had I ben shown the photos, and asked permission, would I not have wanted any of the photos of my trees in the book, as it was much too early for me and all the trees...they were only from small exhibitions in Denmark, and everything was shown in the young days.....but I would still have said no.
Kind regards Yvonne

This is nice words Andre, many thanks...I did not see it like that ....It sounds to me you found inspiration, and that is good...To me was, and is it photos of my trees, not ready at all to be in a book. Had I ben asked, and seen the photos, and ben talked with, would I maybe have looked at it in a difrent way.

Yvone,
I still cant see what wrong thing did I say...so I am not correcting the above post. I simply told you your trees are beautiful, and if they are mine I would be proud of them. Came to check what You were upset about but dont see anything wrong that I did or said.
I am not concerned with what other people say. This is my opinion on your trees. They are nice . Period.

Very cool Yvonne.... done a great job!
The straight branch in the middle of the tree bothers me a tiny bit.
I think either you should try and bent it or cut it just above the left side branch that comes out of it... me thinks
I also like the scar on the trunk, strange isnt it, looks so typical of a maple on the side of the road....
In love with the yellow pot. I love baby yellow.
Love and light
Andre

Hi Andre
Nice to hear from you
The branch in the middle does not bend, only snap...to remove it?, I dont know. The 4 branches that would be left, would not fill the gap the removing would create...for now I keep the 5th. branch in the middle....I see it as a leading branch, that will become a part of the trunk.
The scar was a accident...tried to bend a branch and it snapped, it used to be on the backside, but found it added a little movement and atitude to the tree, so I made it the front...the branch to the left has a long internode, but this can be taken care of through the Next growingseason.....I like yellow pots too
I am leaving for a couple of weeks in a few hours, and a second reply from me will have to wait.
Kind regards Yvonne

I'm really enjoying your sharing. I think it shows bonsai people your not just a "stone" person, andi think your bonsai workmanship is very nice! Thanks!

Thank you for sharing your progress on all your trees, not just these ones. You mention that the Malus sylvestris was grown from seed. Would you happen to know how long it's been growing in your care?
Thanks again for all of your posts. I find them very inspirational.
Best,
Mike.

Re: small trees in my garden
Hi Mike
The malus from seed is not a sylvestris...its seed was planted in in the soil in 1990
The sylvestris was found in the nature as a young plant in 1991.
None of them have given flowers yet...would be nice with some though...a another apple I collected as seed at the same time, does give me flowers every year, since the tree was 8 years old.
Kind regards Yvonne
