another shohin yew
i have only had this little yew for a short time. i have pruned the long shoots since this picture was taken, does anyone have any ideas in how to improve the deadwood or shape of this tree??

Hi Eaton . Seeing as your only twenty minutes away, how about you bring it over and i will help you carve your Yew and your posted Juniper? I dont like the movement of the deadwood away from the rythym of the tree and its too linear. What do you think.

Hmm. Seems to me he's doing OK. The canopy needs some work is all.

Jim. Dont get me wrong ,it is a very good tree but asked for comments on deadwood. All i can see in the hollow is where someone has pushed a Makita around, it needs finess.Bit early in year for wiring and styling? Oh and Happy Birthday bye the way.

thanks will for the offer, see you at the weekend!!i agree that the previous owner of this tree made a good start at the deadwood, it just needs finishing off.to answer f.waheedy's question, it is from kaizen(affordable quality)
