Re: Surprise from my kiln
What a great place for an exhibition and what nice trees!
From the overhead photos it looks like vendor areas are huge! I've noticed this before in Euro show pictures. Is this common for show vendors to have such large areas to build on?

Re: Surprise from my kiln
This plastic has created Auguste Rodin.
Title: "Prayer"
This is only the photographer, sometimes not with pot in hand.
Best regards

Re: Surprise from my kiln
Hi Dale,
sorry, I have not answered your question correctly.
Here is the correct answer:
Yes, the vendor areas at European shows are quite large. The vendors can choose an area between 6.5 ft and 20 ft for their stands.

Peter

Re: Surprise from my kiln
Love the pictures of the bonsai exhibition.
Shows that bonsai and art do exist much more harmoniously than bonsai and flower shows.
Would be nice to see this in a separate post to the bonsai forum.

Re: Surprise from my kiln
Here again a tree in a pot of me.
The shape of the pot is very failed.
The pot can be a little smaller, it would still fit better.
Photos and tree by Jürg Rufer, Switzerland
Pot are hand made without mold and potter wheel
fired to about 1220 ° C
Best regards
Peter

Re: Surprise from my kiln
Peter,
Your beautiful pot should not be called failed, I think that is improper English translation if I might suggest. I understand about the size combination with the tree however. Both are beautiful, just not with each other, IMHO.
Always great to see your work!

Hi Rob,
you were right, the translation was bad. I'm sorry!
I meant to say that the shape of the pot is unusual.

Re: Surprise from my kiln
Hi Peter,
Thanks a lot for these glimpses into your development! A fascinating range of styles too - I especially liked the organic shapes of the vases ... is there more? ;-)

Peter,
It is good to see such great technique and artistry at such an earlier time for you. I am guessing these are course work projects?
Your attention to technique and detail are clearly evident

Re: Surprise from my kiln
Hi Stefan,
yes, the vases are very feminine and very sexy. It was fun, they to made, but it was then also very provocative.
