SUTEKI Accent Pots
Hi Everyone, well the wait (for me at any rate) is over and here are some of the first of my Accent pots to see the light of day.
SUTEKI Accents is my range of smaller pots and plantings more for Shohin and Mame bonsai. This project came about after a random chat with Andy and the fact that a mutual friend of ours had given up producing Accent plantings so I thought I would give it a go. So, here’s the results (on the pot front at least!!).
I hope that you like what I’ve produced so far and I have plenty of new ideas and how to improve on what I’ve learned so far.
Finally, I must than Stone Monkey for all his help, guidance and tutorage without which my pots would never have seen the light of day. OK, they don’t have the panache of Pitt, the brilliance of Barton or the Sexiness of Stone Monkey pots but they are a little bit of me (weather you like it or not!) to leave behind whenever I slip of this mortal Bonsai coil.
Enjoy,
Love, Peace & Bananas,
Simon

Pots look good, were they fired in gas or electric kiln??
Really like the colour of the last one, pinky grey
Keep pottering

Re: SUTEKI Accent Pots
I also like the last one quite a bit, monkey. Very reminiscent of Tofukuji, in both the glaze and the hand formed shape. Very nice.

Electric kiln for all my pots mate.
Thank you for your kind comments gentlemen
The last pot is more of a White with the Pink dribbles and I'm really pleased with the finish. I've planted it up with a Hosta and it looks quite different. I'll try and post a picture in the Accents section ASAP. The 4th pot is very similar but is a slightly trans Grey with Blue highlights and is now no longer with me. You might get to see it in the flesh though Graham!!
I'm hoping to have my website up and running in the next few days and will post a link when ready as there are a few more interesting pots I've not posted here. Thanks for looking,

Cheers for that Andy. I actually said "Wooooo, Nelly!" when I saw that first pot, before it's even been planted up!Suteki pots are like little diamonds tucked away in the darkness, and when they are planted up, wooooo nelly!
If you speak to Si before me, tell him he's a dead man if he sells that one to anyone else.

Re: SUTEKI Accent Pots
Top, top weekend for me and my little pots at the BSA Show at Willowbog.
I was delighted to see 9 of my pots or plantings in use at the event
I know it's a bit sad to count them up but it's the first time I've ever seen them used with anything other than my own trees.
I will post some images later but I must say a masive "thank you" for all the positive comments that I received, it means a lot,
