Re: Surprise from my kiln
Hi Dale,
Thank you for your comment.
Erotic pots can be exhibited in Germany without problems. There is always great approval. The Germans have no problems with eroticism, everything is open and free. In large museums there are often exhibitions of erotic art, and there is enormous attendance.
The making of these pots has brought me much joy. There are also erotic Chinese pots which I will better not show here (you will find some of them on my homepage under "Elixir of Life"), but even those pots can be exhibited in Germany.
I have seen these pots planted with red flowering azalea cascades, and it looked beautiful. Or used as an Ikebana pot with a red flower arrangement, which looked extremely erotic.
This belongs to the beautiful things in life, and makes life, as well as bonsai, worth living.
Best regards
Peter

Re: Surprise from my kiln
Last weekend a small but demanding bonsai and bonsaipot exhibition took place in Landsberg / Germany. The exhibits "Yon Shun-Ten" were shown in a museum which
used to be the living quarters of jesuit monks in late medieval times.
Old woodwork, woodcarving and mosaic floors formed the backdrop for a remarkably demanding exhibiton. The combination of old interior and bonsai was
especially appealing and supported a great appreciation of art.
Here are some photographs of the exhibition:
