VALAVANIS WINTER TOKONOMA DISPLAY
Today some friends came over to help put trees away for the winter before I leave for Tokyo in the morning. The Rough bark Japanese maple which I used for an autumn display a few days ago started to fade color. So we simply removed the leaves, changed the display table, accessory, scroll and accent plant outside the tokonoma and now I can share with you the beauty of the same bonsai in winter.
All the nursery stock got put under protective cover and about 90% of my personal collection got put away too. The garge is now kind of full, but still have loads more of bonsai to put away. Good thing I have two temperature controlled poly houses attached. They will be put away in a couple of weeks after I return from Japan.
Enjoy the photos!

A few views of the garage. The heaters are not set up yet and there are still a few more bonsai to added. Plus I'll continue to arrange them so they look good too.

Your Arakawa is stunning Bill! And I love seeing your winter protection - setup. I am now going to plant my Arakawa whip in the ground, and will make cuttings next year! Do your conifers do all right with the minimal light source?
