Very local. I used to live opposite the Royston hall and the lady who kept the keys was the image of Tubbs.

my mother in law spent her formative years there. she took me to the shop where her uncle used to buy her sweets when she was a little lass. She's 81 now. we took my three legged dog down by the river. Herons, buzzards and wicked trees. You're a lucky man living there dude.

yes i appreciate it very much. My parents owned one of the pubs in Llangorse for a while. I came back here to settle down and have a family. We live in a little bubble here where crime is nearly nonexistant. The local paper will sometimes have a notice off the police asking if anybody saw somebody scratching a car. After living in London i found this so amusing at first.
Having travelled a fair bit i find the country side some of the best . I love it here. When you come again come and visit us.

Re: Inspirational Trees
Hi everybody.
I shoot this old half broken survivor on a trip in Austria in 2005. At more than 2700 meters above sea level, he was one of the few stubborn Pines that managed to stay alive on that steep mountain side, no matter what Mother nature trows at him! Very inspiring to see the will to live in these old trees!
Cheers,
Hans van Meer.

Re: Inspirational Trees
Hi everybody,
I found some more shots from that same mountain side! They had to be scanned so there is some lose in quality, but I still hope you enjoy seeing these magnificent Pines as much as I did?
Above: the Juniper you see growing in frond of this massive root base is now well on its way of becoming a Bonsai here in my garden.
Cheers,
Hans van Meer.

Re: Inspirational Trees
Just found this on the web, I have no idea where it is or what kind of tree but thought it was a pretty impressive image.

Populus deltoides - Plains Cottonwood
The trunk on this cottonwood is rotted out on one side. What is left of the trunk is huge and the only surviving branch has grown back up and over the original trunk to form a new apex. The original trunk must have been really huge, there is nothing left of the original trunk to look at. The tree is growing along Cherry Creek in Colorado. Supposedly gold was discovered several miles south of this tree.
