Buxus/Boxwood #1 tree progression (Poink88)
6 months into this hobby, I decided to do a few of these tree progression of some of my trees.
There is a lot of change in such a short while but please believe me that I listed to & observe my plants and (I think/believe) only do what it can handle. This is my methodology and not advocating others to follow it. If I am wrong, this progression will be the ultimate testament to it.
This tree was claimed by my mother-in-law. Will be gifted to her after it is potted properly...in about 2 years.
As collected - January 16, 2012
As of April 15, 2012 (3 months after) - Crazy but since the potting was all wrong, this was also re-potted recently. Almost no root disturbance but pot was replaced and angle was also changed a lot. Thought the lower left pad seems reduced tremendously, most of the branches are shortened but still there...just hidden because of the shot angle. I think this is close to its final shape with just a few more branch reduction (top left portion) and lots of wiring.

Very nice Boxwood! First post here... LOL
I have about 10 of these that I have dug-up in the past year or so, and have started working on them, a few at a time.
Poink... where are you in TX? I am in the Houston area.

Awesome... just up the road a bit! LOL
We need to get some more discussion on Boxwoods. They are one of my favorites... I have 20+ of them!
