please help Rooting

yesterday I have been a branch taxodium.
I want it to grow roots but do not know how
I previously tried plugging into the ground repeatedly failed
yesterday I tried to follow the way of JimLewist (Aspil)
and wait.
If anyone knows how to do well, please tell.

Aspirin can help. Rooting hormone would be better, or as Bob Pressler says in the same thread, they can root without hormone. I've never had that rate of success, however.
