Spring Brings an Emotional Boost
Weather here in the heartland is warmer than usual. Temps this week, highs in mid 70`s, lows in 50`s. All temperate trees are enjoying the sun. Tomorrow begins a 4 day spread of showers and thunder-showers. I just love the way the trees respond to the ionization of the air by lightening.
As I pulled all of the trees out of winter storage, it appears I have minimal loss in the way of dead trees and/or die-back.
So far, we`re happy with the mild winter. It definitely is an emotional boost to have my trees out where I can see them and start pinching, and pondering where to go with them over the next month or so.

I agree. I need to dismantle the winter shelter to make way for our garage extension (I use the term "garage" loosely - there hasn't been a car in it in 20 years) so I have been bringing my trees out today and all seems fairly okay so far. It's not warm but it is certainly mild and we have the promise of a week or so of this so I thought I'd risk it.
It'll snow tonight now, wont' it?

I know all about the "garage", we built a 30x36 foot "garage in 2008, due to the wife's insistence we can now get her compact car in it, plus her motorcycle. I should be getting a new motorcycle for myself this week; still haven't figured out where I'm going to store it.
We did manage to get all of the trees out and the recycled vegetable oil processing center, but we managed to find other crap to take up the space.
