New Shimpaku and Kishu
Here are front and back pics of a recently purchased shimpaku. It offers a lot of interesting possibilities are far as style considerations, so for now I'm taking the time to leave it alone and planning it's style.
The next is a kishu purchased at the same time. This one offers a very different set of possibilities...as like the shimpaku I'll leave it alone and work on it's possibilities.
Thanks for looking and I'll keep you posted.

Thanks loads Todd, I've finished some sketches and I'll post the one I think will work best for the shimpaku.

I have a few that I will work next month when we "hopefully" have weather that is a little cooler. The official is 70 F but I am sure it is higher.

Hi Manosvince, yes they are from a bonsai nursery here in the United States called Telperion Farms. The owner Chris Kirk is one of the finest people to do business with as well as he has top quality materials to work with.
Thanks for looking and asking.

Hi Qui, a kishu has tighter foliage than a shimpaku. Here's a website you may want to check out, www.evergreengardenworks.com
The owner has a detailed explanation of the differences plus photos of some of the different types; check it out.
