Re: For me, an unknown pot.
Hmmm, that's a stamp not a signature. I wonder if it's from Shigaraki, or China. Beautiful pot Pavel!
Another for Ryan!

Pavel,
1. Cannot make out stamp
2. Unknown(although the stamps and pot appear Japanese in style, like the work of Toujaku or Tani Ranzan)
3. CHinese, yixing(upside down)
4. Yozan(Tokoname)
5. Chinese, of the very high quality pots produced 40-50 years ago. I have several blue glazed pots from this kiln, they're awesome!
6. Rene Le Cocq(I will defer to the monkey on this)
7. Unknown
8. Unknown
9. Chinese, yixing zisha(upside down)

Re: For me, an unknown pot.
Hello Pavel,
I have a very similar pot to your first one. Mine is Chinese and I bought it in 2008 when Bonsaischule Enger in Germany had a delivery of very nice and surprisingly cheap pots from China.
I think your pot might be of the same origin. My pot cost only 15,-€ but I like it a lot.
Best regards,
Heike

Thank you Heike for your replies.
Yes, I also really like. I got a pot as a gift in the Mistral-Bonsai in 2004.

Hey Ryan,
If you don't mind, what do you know about Toujaku? (Pronounced - like Kojack the old TV show except with a T.) I heard he was from Kyoto and passed away 30 or so years ago(?). I picked up three small pots from him while in Japan.

The first two pots are Hikari Ito. He uses Bizen clay.
I am not sure of last one….I think its Koso(こう草) because signature can be read so.
Koso is a brand of Koyo-toen(鴻陽陶園) for companion plants pot. Koyo-toen is in Tokoname.

Yep, I concur with Nektoban. I missed the second part of this thread somehow. The third pot is indeed Kouso, wife of Aiba Koyo, mother of Juko Koyo.
