Re: Ficus - which front ?
OK..this is the special X'Mas gift I will reward to the design close to my idea...
This is a pot made by me few years ago, a reproduction of Ming Dynasty antique pot.
The interesting thing about this pot is that it was burned in Qian Shu ancient "Dragon Kiln" in Yixing, China; a very old kiln over 500 years old and still working as one of the oldest kiln producing bonsai pot in China.
It's a limited edition of 500 pcs, nicely packed with giftbox, individually stamped and hand-numbered, with an Authenticity Certificate signed by me.

Another "interesting story" about this pot can be viewed here :

After going through a long and costy legal lawsuit, finally I got about 130 pots back. These are the only remaining stock from the limited 500 pcs and will be on sale soon. My attorney is still on the collection proceess to get my money back for the sold pots since the curt's instruction for payment had been ignored....
Wish you all..A Merry X'Mas and Happy New Year 2012 !!!

I'm so glad you got your pots back Robert. It's been a long time coming.
I can't believe that the "mods" on that forum allowed the thread to develop like it did. Unbelievable

I agree with Will. I'll definitely try to work up a virtual showing my idea.
Robert, when are you coming to the States? I'd love to meet you in person one day.
Have a great week everyone!!!!!

that was quite a read ! both threads were very interesting - . these remaining pots have quite a history, and are very well travelled - truely a piece of our modern bonsai history
Well done Robert on continuing to pursue your property and to getting it returned - like you I totally believe the principle is more important than just finance.
Best wishes to all

Re: Ficus - which front ?
Dear Pak Robart,
In my opinion I would prefer the image D, although I can not explain in more detail, so the first branch is removed so that the base motion seemed more bent and the roots that look more into the rock basin section would seem to be much stronger grip

Thanks Agus.
All the 4 angles can be used for nice design, but either one absolutely need new touch to create better composition because I am not happy with the existing design...

Jun, why don't you post it in separate thread to offer a nice reward...

Re: Ficus - which front ?
My apology Robert if it offended you in any way, Didn't mean to highjack your thread. I am just trying to show that cutting the rock in half might work, and this ficus is a living and tested proof...since I am not too good in realistic virt.
