Re: Ficus - which front ?
Jun, why don't you post it in separate thread to offer a nice reward...

Re: Ficus - which front ?
My apology Robert if it offended you in any way, Didn't mean to highjack your thread. I am just trying to show that cutting the rock in half might work, and this ficus is a living and tested proof...since I am not too good in realistic virt.

Re: Ficus - which front ?
OK, time is off and here is my vision.
What I demanded on the existing design was the composition, the tree and the rock seemed to be separated, less harmony and unity and didn't look natural. It just simply didn't talk to me....
I prefer the "B" angle as this gives better composition. The "C" angle is also very nice, but I just feel the roots are too strong and too dominant..this is simply a personal preference. Besides, this angle will also need a total restyling on the foliation because the existing foliage is going to the rear side.
On the "B" angle, I improve the composition by adding another rock to the top to create more dynamic so that the tree looks like growing on a cliff; and I will grow the lower branch longer and lower to create the counter balance and give better movement. LOL, I will use a natural slab for the container.
...and you can view this image in 3-D by using the red-cyan 3-D glasses...
Well, you may not like this new design...or maybe never thought about it. But since you have given your best efford for this fun, so I will reward to all who have posted your virts : Marcus, Jun, Sebastian and Rob...
Please send me a PM with your full name, full addrerss with telephone no, so I can send the gift to you. Hope you will like it..
BTW, this pot will hopefully be on sale after new year....
Have an enjoyable holidays...

Hi Robert, Hey I just woke up. (You're 13 hours ahead of us).
Thanks for the pot.
How will you attach the new rock?
And how do you do the 3D virt - is there software that creates that?

Re: Ficus - which front ?
Rob,the additional rock was really done already with white cement, but the foliation was simulated.
Our company is also selling 3-D Lenticular Software, giving production training and supplying materials. Our software can also turn 2-D flat picture into 3-D. In fact you can also do it with PhotoShop, but the 3D will not look that real...
(BTW, please give me your address..)

BTW....
I didn't see that one coming. The extended rock is a very innovative solution.

This might be nice in 3D.
