Bonsai in the LA area
Hello everyone!
I will be traveling through the Los Angeles area next week, and wanted to get recommendations on bonsai nurseries, collections or people that I should check out while I am there.
I went to Yamaguchi and Chikugo-en last time, so I may or may not hit them this time. I am planning on going to Kimura. Are there any others that are worth a visit? Any individuals that sell trees out of their back yard that I should talk to? Any large collections like the one we have up in Oakland?
Thanks for the advice. Any of you that live in the area that would like me to stop by and check out your trees, just send me a message.

Hi Bob,
You should visit Roy Nagatoshi at Fuji Bonsai in Sylmar. Also the GSBF Huntington collection is the SoCal counterpart to the Lake Merritt collection. http://www.gsbf-bonsai.org//huntington/GSBFHuntWelcomeNew.html

If you happen to still here by Sat. (12-10-11) KofuKai Bonsai Club will have its annual Christmas party down in Huntington Beach area, this is a great opportunity to for you to meet (if you haven't) Bonsai Master Harry Hirao founder of the club. The best raffle of the year always happens on this event, you might end up going back home with some nice stuff. Hopefully you can make it!
