Hi Martin,great transformation
Only I think, you can achieve a better result when you make the crown lower and you made the tree more mature
I made a virtual for you.
Greetings Ed

Is that jin at the top intended to look like a part of the male anatomy?

Hi Martin,
first, welcome to the forum, second you have done a great job keeping this tree alive, most on the forum would not go near communis as a species as they are usually VERY difficult to establish as a bonsai as they can die even 5 years after collecting even when putting out new growth year on year. Third, its a bit too soon to be deciding on the 'final' pot, wait until the tree is matured as a bonsai before to pay out for a quality pot.
