Hello Martin..Beautiful work and tree.. Even though it just became a bonsai, it almost looks like it has been a bonsai for many years already.
There is something I have been noticing about all the stunning yamadori transformations... All the material already has dwarfed foliage. Small clusters of needles that are already in proportion to the bonsai that is to be created. The yamadori in my area and at the nursery all have very long needles. I mean regardless of the size of the tree.. the needles are like 3-4 inches long. Unfortunately, it would be impossible to create such instant magnificent first stylings from the local material. You would end up having a 1 1/2 foot tree with 4 inch needles. Which would look completely out of scale.

I totally agree with you on that quote, Russel...almost a Freudian slip...
Pavel has got a great reputation and a very personal style, which I quess anyone would try to achieve with similar yamadori material.
So this is in fact as fine a compliment as one can get in this forum. Well done Martin

Russell Coker , Loke Emil : thank is for your compliment...yes thats so cute comliment when you say Pavel ))
rob c: thanks for compliment , but way to bonsai tree just has already started . Needles aren´t problem in time when you make bonsai ..... it is only small problem for viewing photos on internet ....... time, pot, feeding and work with power of tree in next years will reduce ...

Very Nice first styling Martin!
IMHO, I prefer it better if the branches and foliage moves to the other side, where the dominant roots are, and synchronize with the trunk movement. But then again, if it were just mine.
Without the wires it looks old already.

jun

A great piece of work, Martin. I like it a lot!
The grass is always greener, Russell! I wish we could grow bougies over here without the aid of heated greenhouse. Swings and roundabouts.I wish I could collect material like that.
