Amazing material! Your pines are a true inspiration, and leave me with a smile for the rest of the day How long after collecting do you wait before you do the initial styling?

Pavel... again good work, considered placement of foliage and a great image.
Having access to great material is one thing... styling it well and sensitively is another.
Keep posting your wonderful work here and I will buy you a beer (or two) next time we meet

Really inspirational work, you have such a fine eye for style and an ability to see the possibilities within a piece of material.

[quote="Pavel Slovák"]re Henrik : hi Henrik, this pine was collected in spring 2007.
Hi Pavel,
I see that before you started styling that astonishing tree you had it already re-potted? You collected it in spring 2007 how long did you wait to re-pot it?
Warm regards:
Duncan

Hi Pavel,
Thanks for the answer. So you mean that after this tree was collected you put it straight to the bowl we see on picture 1? Sorry I was under impression that originally it had some interim container and then after a while you moved it to the pot we can see now.
Best regards:
Duncan

Beautiful!
Is your mind set on picture 1 for a front?
The roots look a bit too straight to my taste in "1. Front", and I would remove the jinned root.
One is never sure when you can't see the tree in all its dimensions, i.e, in real life but from what I can gather by the photos the feeling of "aged tree" is more immediate on the current "back side". The fact that no roots can be seen on this side is not a problem to me, it makes the natural curves going up the trunk even more evident.I find the movement on this side awesome.
Yes, one is lucky when they get their hands on such material, and this pine is lucky to be in Pavel's hands
