Re: First time penjing exhibit
Hi Jun
Very beautiful composition. Trees are so real, like a real piece of landscape. Great job. Congratulations.

Thanks for the interest crafty...
Most of these trees are resting now, Taking advantage of the season of good growth
But, here is one photo after defoliation and before rewiring...
What's new?---the rock on the right side of the base added to compensate for the unbalanced base. and I am also growing a right side branch to unite the deadwood with the foliage/branch mass.

jun

Re: First time penjing exhibit
Jun,
This is one of the most beautiful examples of penjing ive ever seen, the place it takes me when i look at it is a different world, and in the long run, that is what we strive for.
Please keep up the good work.
Thank you for sharing.

You are right Jun there was a void behind the tree that now is filled and ties the whole scene together beautifully.
I look forward to the day i can get, earth, water, trees and rock together in such a way that invokes a feeling that i get from looking at your penjing.
Thank you.

Love where this one is going too, im particularly fond of the fern your using to accent the main tree, do you have a sp. name for it???

Re: First time penjing exhibit
The fern grows all over my garden...there are I think several sub species, with different sizes. I just pick the small variety like this one above. attached one in the rock and they multiply like crazy. As for the specific Latin name I am sorry Crafty, I am not aware of it.

jun
