Japanese Maple "Penjing"
A Bonsai Landscape AKA"Penjing", I call it the Maple Grove.
It measures 24"Wx16"Dx24"H & it takes 2 people to handle, I have been Designing, Building, Growing it for 3 1/2 years, It is comprized of 13 Japanese Maple of various Sub Cultures, it has varied ground cover and 3 Monks pondering the Trump Presidency... it is still a Work in Progress, I will be adding ground cover in 2017, its heading for the garage in 2-3 weeks...

Nice start. But I'm curious as to why you classify this as a Penjing.

Very nice!
But may I ? In my view, a wider pot would allow you to get more of a feeling of depth, 1/3rd - path - 2/3rds, see what I mean?...

Re: Japanese Maple "Penjing"
Great start. (This comes from a guy who next spring will assemble his first forest.) However, the trees all look to have the same height. From everything I've read and seen, most all forests have contrasting tree height and trunk diameter. Are you planning on developing contrasts such as these into the trees?
