Peter Tea and a Poll
About Peter Tea:
My name is Peter Tea and in this Blog, I will be sharing my experiences as a Bonsai Apprentice at Aichi-en Bonsai Nursery. I am from San Jose, California but will be residing in Nagoya, Japan for the next five years while I complete my apprenticeship. I will be posting about what I’m learning and my life as a Bonsai apprentice. I’ve got five years here, so there will be lots to talk about and share. This is his excellent Blog: http://peterteabonsai.wordpress.com
The Above is a Poll I wish to share from Peters Blog

Re: Peter Tea and a Poll
The wording in the poll is a tad illogical. You can't agree with all of the above as some of the items are mutually exclusive. I'm guessing he really means that there are aspects of all of the above in demos at some point or another. In the spirit of fun, I've voted anyway.

Re: Peter Tea and a Poll
According to my feeling this is about demonstrators rather than demos.
Demos are the result and depend on demonstrators, their background and their ability to communicate with the audience.
So, in my opinion this option is missing from the poll.

All demos are NOT created equal. It is impossible to answer that poll.

Re: Peter Tea and a Poll
Well, I've never seen a bonsai demo so I am just guessing I would learn a lot, even more if it was a plant I brought to be shown what to hack off and what to keep.....

Hi Tony
Thanks for sharing and no matter what the Demo whether Live or on Video's I always seem to walk away with something new that I have learnt even at Club or Society Level the only Demo's i am not too fussed about and Slides Show of Someone's Trip as I would rather have the name of that places that they went too and hopefully go there and see for myself
Take care and look after each other and all your Bonsai Trees

Re: Peter Tea and a Poll
hi, exelent find Tony, a new blog to keep an eye on.
i voted as you will always learn something from a demo - it may be something useful, it may even be something to do with bonsai ! or you may learn not to go out of your way to see that demonstrator again ! only been to one this year and it was excelent - learnt stuff from start to finish (M & R Cooper on club visit to Cornwall society)

Re: Peter Tea and a Poll
Very informative blog. I've just read through some of Peter's earlier posts on it too. A lot of nice insights into apprenticeships and an offer of shorter stay apprenticeships too.
Thanks for posting, Tony.
