bonsai projects with olea silvestris
Dear friends,
i would like to show here some of the projects i've started recently with wild olives collected in my region, none of them are bonsai of quality, nor are they planted on fancy pots, because i have not got the pots yet and they are all in early stages of trainning, but one thing i am certain about, is the huge potencial they have, to become very nice trees, i re-started to get involved in this art of bonsai only at the end of 2009, as such, not a lot can be expected in terms of advancement, and perfection, but with pacience and dedication i am learning bit, by bit, by bit, and this is the result so far...
olea one

olea three
olea four
olea five
olea six

I think they are wonderful!
The last three pictures, olea six, is just a big sawed off cutting??? My question was going to be "How much root do you get when you dig them?", but I guess that answers the question!

Hello guys,
Will i loaded them with tinypic program, i dont know why you can not see them?
Russell, fortunatly with olives the rate of success with cutings is very high, mostly if they are ground level cuttings, only plant them is well drained soil, keap moist, in the shade, with a black garbage bag over the top to keep high humidity, and pray...
