Schefflera
Hi,
Here is a pic of my schefflera which has been with me for about 3 odd years. Here is a pic of how the tree looked a few months after I picked it up from a nursery in Sept 2007...
And here is the same tree today on my display table at home...
The only regret with this species is that the leaves do not reduce in size...
Thoughts are most welcome as always...

Hey Ravi.
Actually, the leaves do reduce, but it takes a long time. Check out the other schefflera thread on the second page of the questions forum.

It is preferable to start with the right cultivar, which may not be available in India. In the US there are newer cultivars of S. arboricola with much smaller leaves.

I am not too sure if those cultivars would be available in India. I do have another species of Schefflera which has leaves that are slightly smaller say about 2 inches end to end. Still under training.
