I love these trees.
And I keep wondering how you manage to keep them alive. All my tiny trees have died sadly. Doesnt matter what their planted it.
Even if it stands in full shade, its bone dry when I get home from work. Eight hours simply kills them, even if I water right before I drive, and immideately when I get back. So, good job to all of you with small ones!

How come they die with the temperatures that you have in your country?
I live in Cyprus and i experience very long , hot and dry summers, with mid July-end Of August with 35-45C (100-115F) and i can manage with watering once or twice a day... I do however use capillary matting under the pots of small trees (http://www.kaizenbonsai.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=27&products_id=1518) and i also use sphagnum moss around and over the pots for added humidity and water availability, and of course i place them under shade.

Hi Ed
That species is freely available locally, had one, killed it, and saw a zillion times that the foliage isn't suitable for bonsai......
Well done, love the little one, and the bigger one looks great in the new pot!
Cheers
