I have read a few article saying that bankan/coil/twisted shape trunk is unnatural. I have seen some bankan tree or shrub high up in the mountain in Malaysia. I hope people who have seen bankan shape tree can write in their view.

Hello Chiang Cheng Kooi.
Of cours there are impressive coiled and twisted trees in nature, which are called bankan.
I feel the problem is, when we are bending a young tree in such shapes, the result gives often a unnatural feeling.
It needs a good eye to shape a tree in a way it has the quality of Wabi Sabi.
