shohin willow ficus in the works

Got this at a steal and I don't have any shohin so I thought I'd mess with this little guy. Has a decent trunk about 1.6" at the base-it's got a long ways to go but not sure if I want to keep with a broom of have fun with fusing a small willow leaf to make a twin trunk-what do you think?
